After-School Animal Clubs for Hawaii Schools
Aloha Critter Club partners with Hawaii Island schools to run after-school clubs where kids become animal experts, practice social-emotional learning, and take meaningful action for animals in their community.
What we do
Every week, kids at partner schools across Hawaii Island gather for after-school clubs centered on animal welfare: caring for critters, learning about local wildlife, practicing empathy, and taking on community projects for shelters and rescues.
Our curriculum pairs hands-on animal education with social-emotional learning — building kids who can name what they feel, listen to others, and follow through on what they care about.
Fuel a Hawaii kid's love for animals.
In 2025, Aloha Critter Club served 70 students across 5 Hawaii Island schools — teaching them to care for animals and each other. It costs us about $86 a year to serve one student, and every dollar goes into their hands.
- $25 — a student's club supplies for a semester
- $75 — one student's field trip to Magical Creatures
- $250 — a full semester of supplies for an entire school
- $500 — a teacher stipend for a full club cycle
